1 Year Carry-In Warranty Service
Scope of Application:
This product warranty service is applicable only in Hong Kong and is limited to original products selling from J Lock Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) in Hong Kong.
Warranty Service:
Under normal usage conditions, if the Company confirms that there is an internal malfunction of the lock, the Company will provide free on-site repair services for one year from the date of the sales invoice, along with a parts replacement service for two years from the date of the sales invoice (hereinafter referred to as “Electronic Lock Warranty Service”). The warranty period for the Electronic Lock Warranty Service commences from the date of the sales invoice. Customers must provide a valid sales invoice issued by the Company. Customers must also comply with the Company’s ” Terms and Conditions for Maintenance Services” and provide sufficient information and documentation as per the guidelines to apply for the Electronic Lock Warranty Service. Customer who fails to meet these requirements will be deemed as ineligible for the Electronic Lock Warranty Service.
Installation Requirements:
The product must be installed by a technician authorized by the Company to qualify for the Electronic Lock Warranty Service.
Document Retention:
During the warranty period, customers must retain the original sales invoice received at the time of purchase. If customers are unable to provide and present the original sales invoice or if any documents is altered when applying for the Electronic Lock Warranty Service, such documents will be considered void, and the Company is not required to process the application and has the right to refuse to provide the Electronic Lock Warranty Service.
Additional Charges for Remote Areas:
If the installation or repair location is classified as a remote area, the Company will charge additional transportation fees. The Company reserves the right to make the final determination regarding the definition of remote areas. Customers must provide an accurate address when applying for the Electronic Lock Warranty Service and inquire about applicable transportation fees.
Ownership of Parts:
The Electronic Lock Warranty Service and replacement parts must be provided by the Company, and all removed parts (whether damaged or not) remain the property of the Company.
Appointment Cancellation Policy:
All scheduled services will be cancelled without further notice if the time is changed within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment or if the Company is unable to contact the customer during the scheduled period. The customer must pay a rebooking fee to reschedule.
Limitation of Liability:
Under no circumstances and to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Company’s liability for any incidents shall be limited to 50% of the product price listed on the sales invoice.
Unlocking Fees:
If the customer fails to provide the mechanical key and the technician can only unlock the device by force, an additional unlocking fee will be charged. This action will be considered as man-made damage, meaning the product will no longer be covered under the warranty and will not be eligible for free repair services.
Impact of Unpaid Fees:
If the customer fails to pay any fees due (including but not limited to additional charges), the Company reserves the right to refuse and/or suspend the Electronic Lock Warranty Service.
Scope of Application:
This warranty service is applicable only in Hong Kong and is limited to lithium batteries attached to selling from the Company in Hong Kong. Not applicable to bulk items purchased separately.
Warranty Service:
Under normal usage conditions, if the Company confirms that the product is malfunctioning, the Company will provide carry-in warranty service for one year from the date of the sales invoice (hereinafter referred to as “Lithium Battery Warranty Service”). The warranty period for the Lithium Battery Warranty Service commences from the date of the sales invoice. Customers must bring the lithium battery requiring replacement to the Company and/or repair centers and provide a valid sales invoice issued by the Company. Customers must also comply with the Company’s ” Terms and Conditions for Maintenance Services ” and provide sufficient information and documentation as per the guidelines to apply for the Lithium Battery Warranty Service. Customer who fails to meet these requirements will be deemed as ineligible for the Lithium Battery Warranty Service. Replacement of lithium batteries is subject to the inventory availability of the Company and/or the manufacturer. The Company may not be able to provide a new lithium battery immediately and reserves the right to supply replacement batteries only when it is in stock.
Document Retention:
During the warranty period, customers must retain the original sales invoice received at the time of purchase. If customers are unable to provide and present the original sales invoice or if any documents is altered when applying for the Lithium Battery Warranty Service, such documents will be considered void, and the Company is not required to process the application and reserves the right to refuse to provide the Lithium Battery Warranty Service.
Impact of Unpaid Fees:
If the customer fails to pay any fees due (including but not limited to additional charges), the Company reserves the right to refuse and/or suspend the Lithium Battery Warranty Service.
The following situations are not covered under the product maintenance service, and the Company will not provide any maintenance service:
Any cosmetic damage occurring after the product packaging has been opened that does not affect the normal operation of the product will not be eligible for replacement, including but not limited to:
• Cracks, scratches, dents, and bends in the product.
• Changes in the product’s appearance or color.
• Customers understand and agree that the Company has the final decision regarding whether the product condition falls within the scope of maintenance service.
The following situations are not covered by the free repair services, and the Company reserves the right to charge additional repair service fees:
• Replacement of the casing, buttons, and all non-internal lock components and third-party software;
• Devices such as lithium batteries and gateways (Maintenance services for these devices are governed by their independent product maintenance terms);
• Where customer requests for changes or reinstallation of the product;
• Any damage caused by human error, misuse, negligence, unauthorized repairs or modifications, accidents, moisture, natural disasters, or other uncontrollable causes;
• Products functioning normally under standard conditions;
• Products installed outdoors or in semi-outdoor locations, with the Company having final authority on the definition of outdoor or semi-outdoor;
• Products installed in humid environments, such as areas constantly affected by moisture;
• Products installed in enclosed glass houses or other high-temperature environments that lead to overheating or damage; and
• Forced entry to unlock the door lock will be considered as man-made damage (including cases where Company’s technicians had to forcibly unlock due to the customer’s inability to provide mechanical keys).
This warranty does not cover damages directly or indirectly caused by the following:
• Battery leakage or the use of non-matching batches of alkaline batteries;
• Moisture-related damage (including dampness, condensation, humidity, or water ingress);
• Human damage, including cases where the customer must schedule a technician for forced entry due to lost keys;
• Damage caused by fire or flooding;
• Damage from nuclear incidents, including nuclear reactions, radiation, or radioactive contamination;
• Damage caused by acts of war, including undeclared civil wars, military actions, rebellions, insurrections, revolutions, or actions taken by governmental authorities to prevent or defend against such acts;
• Strikes, riots, civil disturbances, or acts of terrorism;
• Dishonest, willful, or criminal acts, including collusion with others;
• Wear and tear, deterioration, and latent defects, including damages arising from hidden or potential defects, design flaws, or quality issues; and
• Intentional acts caused by the individual or their representatives.
The Company reserves the final right to interpret and decide on these terms and conditions.
In the event of any discrepancies between the English and Chinese versions, the English version shall prevail.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Company shall not be liable for any direct or indirect loss or damage to persons or property arising from equipment failure or unreasonable use.
These terms and conditions do not confer, nor are they intended to confer, any benefits or rights to any third parties under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance (Cap. 623 of the Laws of Hong Kong) to enforce any provisions of this contract.
